Here in New England, wedding flowers and labor costs are higher than other parts of the United States. As well, weather conditions such as extreme heat (need to keep those flowers refrigerated as much as possible), or extreme cold (need to keep those flowers protected from freezing while being transported) may also contribute to costs.

Yes!!! I'm so excited that yellow is the Pantone color of the year. Yellow is such a happy color, and we can all use a bit more happiness. What I really want to talk about though is what a wonderful leading role yellow can play in a flower arrangement, or as a supporting actor who lifts up all the colors it touches. For example, yellow plays nicely with whites and green foliage. In this context, yellow tones down the formailty of an all white arrangemnt. It looks fresh, and feels like a kiss of sunshine. Yet if we move away from white entirely, and use yellow with other strong colors like pink, purple, and orange - well now you have a vibrant symphony!
